Jon Ray is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and actor from Vancouver, Canada. He initially found his interest in Hip Hop at a young age of 14 in Calgary, Canada but as he learned more about the culture, he discovered styles such as Funk, Animation, Vogue, and has used elements within them to confidently express himself.
Jon Ray’s eagerness to grow and learn led him to travel around North America to attend conventions such as Monsters, Kaos, and Dancers Paradise to learn from the industries well-renowned artists such as Luther Brown, Lyle Beniga, Ysabelle Capitule, Natalie Bebko, and many more. His credits include Nissan, Grey Goose, NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and Nickelodeon’s upcoming Monster High 2.
Jon Ray currently teaches and trains at Studio North Dance Complex in Vancouver, Canada. Although he has attended numerous training programs, conventions, and classes, Jon Ray will never get over his love for learning because he believes that with the expression of dance and learning brings an evolving form of understanding within one’s self and artistry.
